Michael J. Palmer, AIA

Michael Palmer has 20+ years of diverse experience. He has designed and managed projects for K-12, higher education, multi-family, and commercial clients. Michael takes pride in his ability to solve the most challenging design problems, always striving for functional solutions.

Prior to joining BKP, Michael led the documentation and construction administration for Philadelphia’s 21-story Crane Chinatown tower, a mixed-use, community-oriented project combining 15 floors of apartments atop retail, office, early learning, and a community center. Michael advocates a collaborative process through all phases of a project. His colleagues appreciate this team approach while clients and contractors respect his clear communication and commitment to shepherding projects to successful completion.

Michael holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Drexel University and is a registered architect in Pennsylvania. He also holds NCARB certification. Michael has been a past volunteer with the Community Design Collaborative and has fostered through PennVet’s Working Dog Center. In his free time, Michael enjoys a quiet life in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia and takes frequent trips back to the homestead on the southern shore of Lake Ontario to spend time with family, and most importantly, the family pooches, Spencer and Nitro.
