Justin J. Matulewicz, AIA, LEED AP

Justin’s holistic understanding of building construction as a designer, builder, and owner makes him a versatile architectural teammate. He came to BKP after working as a building engineer, property manager, construction manager, and architectural staff member. Justin has also worked as an electrician installing, servicing, and repairing electrical systems and managing electrical contract work.

Justin’s multi-faceted experiences afford him the vision to identify potential systems conflicts and better articulate design concepts with construction team members in all trades. His ability to develop and coordinate document sets for scoping and his proficiency with construction administration and management make him an asset to BKP and its clients.

Justin holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Temple University Tyler School of Art Honors College. He has passed the Pennsylvania (Philadelphia) Standard Master Electrician Exam along with NEC Exam Prep Course and NEC Exam Prep Calculation Course from the International Code Council.

Justin is an avid bicyclist who wrote his thesis about how bikes interact with other modes of transit in the urban environment. A serial renovator, Justin has remodeled three properties, two for his growing family and one a rental property he manages. He is a partner in residential development company, Lettermark, LLC. He also regularly experiments with construction materials and methods, from cast-in-place concrete to furniture making.
