Project Details

Designed to replace a dated and cluttered convenience store-deli complex, Charles Street Market is a brightly lit, modern space providing fresh, healthy take-away foods. BKP teamed with Bon Appetit Management Company to blend an Old World corner store concept with the needs of today’s students. The existing space was gutted and renovated with new red oak display cases and shelving, eucalyptus plank cabinetry, durable porcelain tile flooring, updated lighting, new food service equipment, and a range of furnishings including traditional cafe tables and chairs and soft seating with low butcher-block tables. The new space features a gourmet food island, a produce market, and an outpost of Baltimore’s Stone Mill Bakery.
