BKP is thrilled to announce the promotion of Justin Matulewicz to Associate in the firm. Justin has been working with BKP for seven years, beginning his career as a designer and progressively playing critical roles, honing his client-centric design philosophy, people management skills, and problem-solving approach. As an Associate, Justin will continue to perform in a leadership role for his project teams and be a primary contributor to BKP’s Education and Wellness design projects.
Prior to joining BKP, his unique career experiences include working as a building engineer, property manager, construction manager, and electrician, all of which guide his understanding of design; and are assets to BKP and its clients.
He believes in the architecture for people.
“Everyday-architecture that makes up the built environment should be valued equally important to any grand monumental structure,” said Justin.
Justin holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Temple University Tyler School of Art Honors College, is a licensed architect in the state of Pennsylvania and is a LEED Accredited Professional.
He lives in a brick house in the Old Richmond neighborhood of Philadelphia with his wife, a son, and a daughter. He enjoys spending time with his family, biking around the city exploring new neighborhoods and rehabbing his house. He recently renovated the entire duct system in his home and built a spice rack for his wife.
